As some of you may be aware, on the 1st of February 2022, I finally got my long-awaited breast reduction.
The surgery had been delayed for a long time for a myriad of reasons, such as university, expenses, COVID-19 etc. But, after years of waiting, I am officially a member of the itty bitty titty committee, and it feels fucking fantastic.
During the prelude to my surgery, I had many worries: what if I remove too much? What if they remove too little? What if I die? What if I miss them? Luckily, none of these fears were realised, and in the end, it became the best decision I’ve ever made.
The surgery went well, and in the end, my doctor removed 3.5kg of tissue. I’ve gone from a 36JJ/36K to roughly a 36B/36C. I did have a panic attack coming off the general anaesthetic (GA), and my blood pressure peaked at 270, but this soon returned to normal after some breath-work with my nurse.
I can’t lie, the pain in the first week was insane, but this is likely due to having so much tissue removed and liposuction on my back.
