Weekly Newsletter #17: Things are slowly starting to settle
I feel as if I am starting to get back into the swing of things. December was hard and the early days of January weren’t so great either but I am getting my head in the game! Yael had a wonderful piece (The Importance of Acknowledging the Darkest Time of the Year) which if you’re spiritual would explain why it felt like we were ‘Swimming in oil’ - Nicole.
The plan for the week is to stick to my targets, pitch more outside publications and continue to treat January as a practise run for the rest of the year (lol)!
I’m also very happy these days. An Injustice! crossed 1k followers just over a week ago and we are already at 1.3K! I can claim 0 credit, it was all due to our wonderful writers. Looks like our plan for world domination is coming to fruition!!

Depression cost me more than $4,000 and ruined my credit score, and I'm not the only who's suffering for Business Insider
In 2018, I was working two jobs and attending school full time. When I got fired from one job, I fell into a depression. That depression made it hard to go to work and school, and I eventually stopped both, racking up thousands of dollars of debt and missing bill payments.
A year later, I'm finally getting out of debt. And while I'm glad we're talking more openly about the emotional and physical effects of mental illness, I think it's time we talk about the financial consequences, too.
